CLASSROOM RULES & PROCEDURES - Mrs. Yates BE PROMPT Be in your seat with all materials, quiet, and ready to begin class on time. BE PREPARED Bring all required materials to class each day – textbook, paper, pencil, science binder, and agenda (occasionally calculator & colored pencils). Turn in all assignments on time. BE RESPECTFUL Keep your hands, feet, and all other objects belonging to you to yourself. Respect yourself, your classmates, school property, and all adults. Raise your hand to speak and otherwise listen. BE RESPONSIBLE You are responsible for notes, homework, quizzes, labs, and tests for days missed from class. You are responsible for your actions. LISTEN TO DIRECTIONS Pay attention and help yourself succeed.

HOMEWORK POLICY See the student handbook for the school policy concerning homework. In addition to this policy, assignments are expected on their due date. Late assignments can be turned in ONE DAY late for a maximum of 50% of the earned points. No extra credit will be accepted unless all regular assignments have been completed at a minimum of 50% . Assignments turned in more than one day late will be a zero. Extra credit is available to all students that have successfully completed all classroom work. Make-up work is not considered late until the appropriate amount of time has expired. Please read this section of the handbook carefully.
GRADING SCALE The grading scale is listed in the student handbook and will be followed in all classes.
CONSEQUENCES Detentions should be served the day they are assigned or the following day. If a student fails to serve their detention, the discipline progression listed in the handbook will be followed. Certain infractions will result in an automatic office referral. Please read over this section of the handbook with your child. The handbook has been covered at school and they will be responsible for knowing and following the rules.
